Corn Maze

Tucker and I went to the Corn Maze with the school today. We didn't do as well this year as last. We spent almost 2 hr. in one maze trying to find #18. Finally Tim Pattee helped us find it. We got to meet Mrs. Rishell (Ethan's Science teacher) and Mrs. Wood (Ethan's US History teacher). It is nice to get to meet them in person. I wish Ethan could have been with us. Back to Tim Pattee, we dated for a while in high school and I don't think I have seen him since. He is schooling through Connections also. It was nice to know someone there. Like a dink, I forgot my camera so no pics. I thought maybe we would do it in the dark when they haunt it when Ethan is home.

Greenbluff

I didn't get very many pictures at Greenbluff.
The older they get the less cooperative they are about pics. It was a pretty chilly day, but we had a good time. It was just Rusty, the boys, Mom, Kylee, and I this time. Amber, Trina, and Laura all had other stuff going on. We picked apples and eat yummy food.

Computers!!!!!

Well my laptop is officially not working. It turns on and that is it. It is totally frozen. I am so frustrated with the stupid thing. Rusty has a buddy that is a computer genius so he is going to look at it. Hopefully it can be fixed. It is only a year old. I am using Ethan's laptop and he thinks that is awful. Little poop! I have been trying to fix it since last night and all I have accomplished is wanting to chuck it out the window.

It is a beautiful sunny day and I am inside obcessing over a computer. ARGH!!! We are going to Greenbluff tomorrow to get apples and pumpkins and just hang out. We look forward to Greenbluff each year.

The boys and I went and watched Eagle Eye yesterday. It was a good suspenseful movie. I managed to chew off a few fingernails. There was some language which I could do without, but other than that a good movie.

Rusty is wiring a plug-in off the garage today so Duke can have some water that isn't frozen. Yes, it is already freezing at night. I need to get one more heated bowl for the chickens, but the dog and cats are set. We still have all three kittens because I can't seem to give them away. I guess I better contact the vet and see what it will cost to get them fixed. I hate doing that because out here they seem to die or disappear as soon as I put money into them. I don't want anymore kittens though. They are cute though. The male looks just like his mom. She never did show up.

I should have some pics tomorrow after our Greenbluff trip.

Colds!!!

This weekend Rusty and I both have colds. I feel much better today than yesterday, but Rusty isn't feeling so great. It is kinda nice to hang out on the couch though. I did give Ellie a bath and mopped the floor. Ellie was flithy. She loves to go outside and run with Duke but comes in MUDDY!!! Amber and the kids brought Tuck home and visited for a little bit.

Not much has been going on here. School is going better and both boys are doing well. It is a lot of work, but it's their job. Tucker is learning more Christmas songs and lots of cords. He really is very talented on the guitar. He is playing a lot. He played for Grandpa Arnold at Cody's birthday party last week. Grandpa sure does enjoy listening to him.

Well I just don't have anything exciting to report.

On bike trip down the Hiawatha

On Saturday Mom, Kylee, Ethan, Tucker, and I went and biked the Hiawatha Trail. It is a 16 mile bike ride through the mountains. It starts off going through about a 1 mile long, very dark tunnel. Mom said the tunnel was very light compared to last time, but I really didn't enjoy it much. You wear head lamps, but it is still kind of freaky. There are several other short tunnels and some very high tressels that you bike over. It was a nice ride, but I am very out of shape. My left knee was pretty achy by the end of the ride. We took the shuttle back to the top and it takes about 30 minutes. The ride is just long enough for your muscles to tighten up. We had to go back through that awful tunnel to get back to the car. It really was a nice ride though. The day was gorgeous.

Rusty didn't want to go on the ride so he stayed home and cleaned the chimney, installed power to the chicken coop, cut an opening for the chickens, and other household tasks. He also gave me a nice back massage when we got home. He is such a nice hubby!

Today I have chores to get done. Fall is here and it is time to winterize.

Various pictures

Here is some of the mess from Tucker's room. He had a closet/dresser clean-up day on Thursday.
Ethan wanted me to get a picture of him holding his yo-yo in this position. Not sure why? It was part of a trick he was doing.
Tucker reading his Social Studies assignment. I don't get a chair when Tucker reads in this fashion. He was hiding his face from me.

Cool bon-fire picture

Blog correction

Mary brought it to my attention that I posted Ethan went fishing with my dad. He went fishing with his dad. My brain and my fingers do not always connect. He had a cold the whole time and a sore neck, but he still had fun.
