Snuggles- braving the big outdoors

Snuggles has decided that she likes to go outside when I let the dogs out. She hasn't ventured off the back deck yet, but she seems to enjoy it.

New sidewalk

Thanks Ronnie and Brian for helping us get the new sidewalk in. Rusty spent today bring in more dirt and seeding it. Hopefully we will have grass soon and no more dirt.

Last week Rusty's employer hosted an all day guided fishing trip for the guys. Sounds like they had lots of fun. Here are a few pics of Rusty fishing.

Whiskers Update

I am happy to say that Whiskers was not dinner to a wild animal. He is home from wherever he was roaming so hopefully Waffles will be next.

Curriculum day

Ethan's school books showed up on the UPS truck today. I had fun opening them and checking out the new stuff. Too bad he didn't get excited about school also. He was missing a few items, but I called and they will get them mailed out soon. Ethan is starting High School this year. He isn't too excited because all he can think about is "there will be more work." I just can't believe that I am old enough to have a high schoolers. ARGH!!!

Another possible missing cat

Well our male cat, Whiskers, seems to be missing in action also. Both cats are very friendly and are usually on the porch or at least meet us at the food bowl. We haven't seen Waffles in about a week and now it has been two days since we have seen Whiskers. I am NOT happy about this. We have an owl in the neighborhood and I heard the coyotes a couple of night ago. I sure hope they didn't become dinner. I sure hope they turn up soon.

Beautiful flowers

I have had this Hollyhock for 3 summers and this is the first time it has bloomed. Isn't it gorgeous?

We brought this Yucca with us from our last house. It was so beautiful and bloomed each year. Well this year I almost pulled it because it had not bloomed since we moved it and the leaves were moldy looking. Well I guess it decided it didn't want pulled!!

Baby Kittens- We found them

About 4-5 weeks ago I thougth our mama cat had babies. We have been looking for them, but couldn't find any. Waffles, mama cat, kept going to the neighbors so we talked to him and looked around, but nothing. Two days ago Tucker found the babies in the barn. Unfortunately, we can't find Waffles. It has been several days and no one has seen her. I am hoping she returns and nothing happened to her. We found 4 babies!! Two orange, one gray and one grey with white face and feet. They are all pretty scared so we put them in the rabbit hutch so we can tame them. They are eating wet food well and seem to be okay.
