Extreme sledding

Rusty and the boys have been doing extreme sledding in the backyard.  One of the guys drives crazy and the boys will bail off and then jump back on while the sled is zooming by.  It is crazy.

A day on the mountain

Rusty and the boys went to Lookout today.  They had a fun day and saw lots of people they knew.

Looking at our pictures I'm thinking Rusty's got to be feeling short.  lol  Granted the boys are on a bit of a snow chunk there, but Ethan looks like he is towering Rusty and Tucker is about to catch up.  Me... I have officially given in.  I measured Tuck the other day and he is now exactly the same height as me, which means the way he grows he could be taller than me tomorrow.

Funnies

Ethan and Tucker went into Cd'A today to spend some money.  When they got home Tucker came down to tell me all the wrong turns Ethan took.  My boy is directionally challenged (runs in the family) and never knows where he is going in Cd'A.  Tucker asked him what he would do without him and Ethan said "drive around in circles."

Later in the evening they were discussing snowboarding plans.  I told them to go and not worry about me I would do something.  Ethan says "what are you going to drive?"  I said "oh, I forgot about that."  Rusty pipes up that they can take Ethan's car and Ethan is arguing that there isn't room for the gear.  Rusty says "We can bungy them to the top."  Ethan heatedly exclaims that he isn't bungying his $400 board to the top of the car when Rusty pops up with "the $400 board on a $500 car."  It was SO funny.  You probably had to be here, but trust me it was funny.  My boy has priorities!

A tuckered out Tucker

Tucker had an overnight B-day party last night and the boys stayed up till like 4 in the morning and then got up around 6 or 7.   He came home cranky and tired.  We told him to go lay down.  He slept most of the day.  I finally made him get up at 4 so he would sleep tonight.  I think they had lots of fun.  His buddy lives down the road.  Rusty and Grant (the dad) actually went to school together.  Anyhow they have snowmobiles and Grant, Aliza, Rusty, and Aliza's mom pulled the kids on sleds.  They all had a blast.

Test results

Well all my tests are back and here what I see from them.  I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and am hypothyroid.  My estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone are all low, but testosterone is within range just on the low side.  DHEA's are low-normal and cortisol shows low adrenal reserve.  So at least all this explains why I have to fight SO hard to lose any weight, why I am tired with very little motivation, and generally just feel blah.  I am hopeful that when I talk with the Dr. on Wednesday she will have some ideas/ prescription whatever that will bring me back to the go go go girl I used to be.   Wish me luck!

I am already eating a good diet (the majority of the time), taking my vitamins, eating organic foods for the most part, and exercising so I should be off to a good start.

Growing up

I bought the boys a gingerbread house again.  I wasn't sure if they would do it or not.  Ethan decorated it really quick.  Tucker didn't even help.  I think this is probably the last year for the gingerbread house.  I also received a lot of crap because it was pre-built.  I didn't read the box.  I always get it at Costco.

The boys have been working on a fort and their friends came over today and they got a ton done.  It is huge.

Laura and Sean are at the hospital.  She checked in this morning to be induced.  Can't wait to see the sweet baby boy.

Winter Fun

 The boys built a big tunnel around the trampoline.  It was about  20 feet long.  Part of it caved in this weekend, but the boys worked on it a bit last night.

 Bryan comes and cleans out the driveway for us.  Super quick.

Winter Wonderland

It has been snowing all day.  Everything is SO white.  Sadly I think we are going to have to get on the roof and shovel if this keeps up.  I had a fun time using the snowblower and shoveling tonight.  The boys offered to help, but sometime I just enjoy it.

Turkey Day

 I should have got one with Laura standing up since this is probably the last babybelly picture I will get.  Next picture should have a sweet baby boy in it.

 Hunter was a little tired when they first got here.  He was lovin' on the teddy bear.

We had a very nice Thanksgiving.  I didn't get very many pictures, but here is a few of them.

Snow, Broken Yukon, and Freezin'

 My yukon quit yesterday right in the middle of Diagnal Rd.  Thankfully it was right by Lawrence and Penny's.  Uncle Lawrence towed me off the road and Rusty and Bryan came and towed it home.  They think it is the fuel pump.  Sunset came and towed it to Robeaux's this morning.

 It is REALLY COLD here.  The boys both slept down by the fireplace to keep warm.

Snow

The snow is clear up the Bella's belly already.  

Surprise Visit

My friend, Jen, that I used to baby-sit stopped by unexpectedly yesterday for a short visit.  What a wonderful surprise.  We had a nice visit and I played with Talon too.  What a cutie!

Talon had great time trying on Ethan's huge shoes and taking my books to Jen and then putting them away.  Who needs toys?

Road Trip

Rusty went with his friend, Kelly to Sheridon, Wyoming to clean out some storage unit.  They are bringing back some antiques and a 69 Mustang.

 Snowy roads-  That one is sideways for some reason.

Report Card Time

Tucker brought his report card home today.  All A's, except for a B+ in Reading.  He did have the comment:  that the focus needs to be on handwriting this year.  lol  He has horrible handwriting.  I can't tell you how many arguments we had over handwriting.  Glad someone else gets to "get on him" about it.  His handwriting is much better than it was and it still "needs improvement."   Conferences are next week.

U of I vs. BSU

Rusty and Tucker had a good time at the game last night even if U of I got killed.  Tucker thought the dome was awesome.  

Veteran's Day Assembly

Garwood put on two assemblies/concerts today for Veteran's Day.  The 3rd-6th graders sang songs and the 1st and 2nd graders made cards and pictures for the all the Veteran's in attendance.  It was a nice concert.

The girl on Tucker's left (on right looking at it) is Maryinda.  They have a crush on each other.  She was so cute after the concert and came up on introduced herself to me.  She seems like a sweet girl, but I told Tucker NO girlfriends yet.  I AM SO NOT ready for that.  I am much better with babies and toddlers.  lol
