My Tucker is NOT a morning person

One of the things that I worried about when we decided Tucker would go to school this year is getting up in the morning.  He is like his mom and not really happy in the morning.  He has done great and gets up every morning and gets in the shower.  He will eat breakfast and then sit on the couch and read till its time to go.  This morning I think he was a little tired.

Just cuz he is so cute.

Poor Tanzy

I have had Tanzy longer than any of our dogs.  She has put up with all the other cats and dogs that have come and gone.  She is so patient and the best dog.  Darth is constantly laying on her like this.  He sits and kneads her back.  She just lets him.

4 lbs. of mischief and mayhem

Bella is so naughty and mischievous.   For such a little thing she can get up on everything.  I find her on the kitchen table, on my craft counter, and  on my coffee tables.  She is just so naughty.  She will stop if I catch her in the act, but keeps right on if no one is looking.

The poor chickens are subjected to her chasing them around.  I haven't been putting on her shock collar as it rubs sores in her poor little neck and she knows when it is on and when it isn't.   The moment you let her out without it she goes to visit the birds.  They DO NOT enjoy her company.

She LOVES toys with stuffing inside or bedding with stuffing.   She will attack her toys and rip all the stuffing out till I get irritated and throw it away.  I buy cheap quilted pillow shams at the goodwill for her kennel and she will chew holes in them till she can pull the stuffing out.  ARGH!  I now by rope toys or squeaky toys NO more stuffed animals.

Lucky for her I kinda like the naughty thing and for some reason Rusty thinks she's the bomb.  She is a good little bed buddy.

Tonight is the last game of the season.  It's gonna be a wet one.
Well that is hard to see, isn't it!  Well they turned out great.

Too HOT

Those that have been here in the winter know how hot it gets in here with the fire.   It is SO HOT even Bella wants outside.  When the nearly hairless dog can't stand the heat.....

Scarywood

Ethan, Tucker, and Godwin went to Silverwood yesterday, which is haunted (Scarywood) during the month of October.  I got a text from Ethan shortly after they arrived "This is insane."  They had a great time.
There were clowns that followed people around the park.  Ethan took this picture with Tucker's phone so not the best quality.  This was actually someone that knew one of the boys' friends.

Ethan

Doing school in the family room where it is warm and cozy.
He was playing with a laser light and wanted to see what it would look like on camera.  Kinda cool.

Almost done

The wall is painted and now I am just waiting on the border.  It was mailed yesterday so that should be done soon.
This is the awning that is being built.  They are supposed to mount it tonight.  They ordered the trim pieces and waited for over a week and they don't match.  I am hoping that once it is up you won't be able to tell.  I am trying not to let if irritate me, but well I am anal that way.

Little Girl on a Plane

My aunt e-mailed me this today and I thought it was so funny I had to share.

"LITTLE GIRL ON A PLANE"

A Congressman was seated next to a little girl on an airplane so he turned to her and said, "Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger."

The  little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the  total stranger, "What would you want to talk about?"

Oh, I don't know," said the congressman. "How about global warming, universal health care, or stimulus packages?" as he smiled smugly.
"OK," she said. "Those could be interesting topics, but let me ask you a question first. A horse, A Cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass.
Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and  a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?"

The legislator, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, "Hmmm, I have no idea."  To which the little girl replies, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss global warming, universal health care, or the economy, when you don't know crap?"

And then she went back to reading her book.
