The HUGE egg

Occasionally we get a HUGE egg. I think this one is the record breaker so far. It was too big to fit in the duck egg carton.

Our football player

Terra helped convince Tucker to play football. Thanks!!!! Although after spending a small fortune on shoes today maybe I shouldn't say thanks. lol I am excited to watch some football.

Working Boy

This is what he does when he isn't working.

Ethan has a job doing some yard/beach work for the Blaine's. He worked for 4 hours today and was beat when he got home. It will be good for him to have some hard, physical labor. He is still trying to find a job, but this will work for now. They want him to work once a week for 4-6 hrs.

First day of school

Tucker had his first day at a traditional public school today. He had a good day! He sat by Max and Jared, which he played basketball and baseball with. Somehow he even got free lunch. I will have to straighten that out tomorrow. lol He even said lunch was good. I think he is going to really enjoy school. He did say that he had to sit and wait for about 20 minutes during reading. He reads fast! From what he brought home today it looks pretty easy compared to what he has been doing, but time will tell. I am glad he had a good day, but we did miss him at home. Kinda quiet with just me and Ethan.

Big Day tomorrow

I just sent Tucker to bed so he is rested for his first day of school tomorrow. The jitters are finally setting in and he is getting a bit nervous. Funny he isn't nervous about class, but about buying his lunches. He doesn't know where the lunch room is and where to purchase his lunches. I offered to take him to school so we could find out where his class, lunchroom, etc. are, but alas he is a 6th grader and my offer has been rejected. lol Easy solution would be to pack a lunch tomorrow, but the boy wants hot lunch. Unless it is much better than when Ethan was in school that may be short lived.

I am having mixed feelings of course. Tucker has rarely been away all day and I am going to miss him. I hope that this is a good choice for him and I think he is looking forward to it, but it still makes me a bit sad. We have had our ups and down schooling at home and we butt heads, but I wouldn't change the last 6 years of teaching him at home for anything.

Hunter's b-day

Hunter turned the Big 1 yesterday. Laura and Sean had a fun b-day party for him. He is so much fun to watch and such a happy little go-getter. He attacked his ice cream first and then went for the cake. He even shared with Momma as you can see in the picture. Happy Birthday Big Guy. We love you!

Lopez Vacation

We had a wonderful week in Lopez. It is such a laid back island and we had a lot of fun. I definitely want to go back. I took tons more pics, but it takes too long to load them here. You can check them out on Facebook if you want.

Amazing Bella

Bella spent the afternoon barking and driving me nuts. This evening I went out to see what the problem was as she was barking her scaredy bark. She found one of the chickens that disappeared last weekend. What a good puppy!!! The chicken however was unappreciative and pecked me hard as I carried her to the coop.

The boys on the diving log.
Eli played in the sand like this forever.
The 1912 farmhouse. Very cool. This was a picture Amber took earlier in the year. The flowers were blooming and so pretty while we were there.

Frogtopia

These aren't in order as I can never seem to get them in the right spot, but you can figure it out.
A froggie on his raft.
The builders.
The beginning of frogtopia
I was in charge of the bucket of frogs and making sure none escaped.
Building the sides.
