The boys on the diving log.
Eli played in the sand like this forever.
The 1912 farmhouse. Very cool. This was a picture Amber took earlier in the year. The flowers were blooming and so pretty while we were there.

Frogtopia

These aren't in order as I can never seem to get them in the right spot, but you can figure it out.

Canada

Tucker and I went for a few days to visit my cousin's ranch. Teresa and James live on the Gamby River in Grand Forks. It is so beautiful there. We spent the first day at The Rock Candy Mines were the boys found cool rocks to bring home. Tucker packed out as much as his pack would hold. The next day we played in the water and floated back to the house. Terra is obsessed with frogs as some of you know and her and the boys built "Frogtopia"!!! It was an AWESOME habitat for the little buggers that were caught. Connor didn't want his frog in frogtopia, but wanted to hold "his best friend" the whole time. He loves them a little too much at times. It was an awesome day just relaxing and having fun. I will post pictures later. I have some from the mine, but the frogs pictures are on Amber's camera so when she gets home I will help her download them and post some.
Thank you so much Teresa, James, and Eli for letting us visit!

A Big Scare

Well this morning was full of exercise and fear!!! My cousin and I are meeting at the high school to run the stairs on Tuesday and Thursday. Tucker has joined us this week and wanted to hike the hill (Rathdrum mountain) that Terra has been telling him about. So after we got Josh, Terra's youngest, and we met at the base of the mountain. We hiked to the top, which is quite exhausting, though the boys made it look easy. Back down is steep and slippery so I wanted to take the road and the boys were going to take the trail. It really shouldn't have been a big deal. Head straight down and you will come to the road! Well Terra and I get to the cars and no boys!!! They should have been back well before us. So she went to the City Park and I went towards Hidden Valley Road neither of us see the boys. We still weren't panicking, but getting concerned. She drove up to her place to see if maybe they went there, but no. We were getting worried now. I had been up the mountain several times and calling them. I called Rusty back to let him know we still hadn't found them. He called about 20 guys to come search with us, in the meantime, Terra called 911. I was heading to a friends that lived near the park when I remembered I had her number so I called and asked her to look by the park again. They found the boys as they were coming through the park and drove them over. The boys had gotten lost and ended up way to the left. Thankfully when they made it off the mountain they knew where they were and headed towards the park. They saw a bear while they were up there too. When I saw them I broke down and started crying. It took Terra and I a while to calm down and not feel so shaky. Rusty had to call off all his friends and Terra was still on the phone with 911 when she saw us so they called off the search too. 911 did tell Terra that it is never too soon to call when it is a child. That was enough excitement for me for the year, thank you very much. You wouldn't think living in Rathdrum we would have been so scared, but we were. We had passed some unsavory looking characters in a car on the way down, we were worried they could have fallen and gotten hurt, we were well... just worried!

Ready for school

Well the supplies are purchased anyhow. I am NOT ready for school yet. I plan on enjoying the last few weeks so summer with the boys. It will be SO weird sending Tucker off to school this year. He is pretty excited to go to Garwood. If he gets accepted to the Charter School he may go into complete and total meltdown. It won't be pretty!

Date night and Concert for the boys

The boys and their friend, Jeremy, had a concert in Spokane yesterday. Ethan's good friend, TJ, is in a band called Ongoing Concept. Rusty and I took the boys and dropped them off and then walked over to a nice Italian joint and stuffed ourselves. The food was delicious! After dinner we walked around the park and took the short gondola ride. Kinda a waste of money, but I had never done it. The falls were cool, but it is a short ride for 7 bucks. We had a great evening though and the boys enjoyed their concert.

Shopping and lunch

Took the boys shopping today for a few clothes and spent a fortune. Normally we go to Kohl's when I have coupons and save big, but they wanted band shirts so we went to Hot Topic at the mall. I spent $20/shirt (gasp) plus shoes and a few pair of jeans for Tucker. They will probably need more before school starts, but the bank is broken for today. They really NEED to stop growing so much.

We did have a nice day though and a yummy lunch at Red Robin.

Out of the nest

Momma must be trying to teach them to fly. I was up worrying about them all night. There is still one in the nest this morning, but I can find the 3 that are sitting here. I am hoping that they flew off somewhere safe. The momma is still out there chirping away. So.... I think they are the cutest dang things and would be so sad if they didn't make it.
