The end of another crazy week

Well we are in week 2 of school and boy am I glad it's the weekend. We are trying to get in the school grove and hitting some stumbling blocks. I spent today trying to get a better handle on this new curriculum and computer system. Not only has school been frustrating, but my computer and printer are just not working right. I need a computer guru!

I started baby-sitting this week also. Well actually Cassie is 4 so not really baby-sitting. She gets here at 4:30 in the morning so I am a bit tired this week. She is pretty easy going and is loving the boys.
Well hopefully I will have more to post tomorrow. Not much exciting going on since school started.

School days

School started on Monday for the boys and this week has been absolutely crazy busy. We are all trying to learn the new system and get back into the swing of things. Ethan has a lot of reading this year and his day has been especially long. He is trying really hard and I am very proud of his attitude. Tucker's isn't as much since he is a 4th grader, but he is doing a great job getting his work done too. Yesterday in the midst of school my poor printer gave up the ghost. I print a ton and it finally gave out. So last night after the party I flew to Best Buy and bought a new wireless printer. It is great! No more changing cords to each computer!!! Plus it has automatic two-sided printing. Doesn't take much to get me excited! It really is cool and I guess the timing was good for the old one to die because it had just run out of ink.

You can't see it very well in this picture, but he is playing Study Island which is a cool site for ISAT test preparation. Oh and he didn't comb his hair that morning. HEHE
Ethan reading his History. Doesn't he look so excited to be back to school?

A Good Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday and my hubby planned a nice party for me. He invited my family over and made his yummy chicken alfredo. We have a cake and ice cream and presents. I felt like a little kids!!!! LOL Thanks to everyone that came to celebrate my birthday with me. Thanks Rusty for taking care of everything and making my day special. I love you!

Fair 2008

The fair was fun and hot. Kylee rode in the drill team again. For those of you that don't know about drill team, it is a group of young ladies that ride their horses at the fair before the rodeo. It is like drill team, but on horseback. It is really neat and they have to time things perfectly. I think this is Kylee's 3rd year doing it at the fair. I love to watch it.

These are the budweiser horses. They are HUGE!!!!
The derby car prior to the start! Tuck name was actually written on it, but you can't see it in the pic.
The car after it moved a few feet. The first hit dislodged the seat and we were out of the race. Bummer!!!
Wild Child!!! I wish I could have gotten some actions pics. He was great on the motorcycle.
Just too cute so I had to add it.
Team roping
Action pic of drill team. I am going to try to put some video from Mom's camera on here next time I get over there.

School starts Monday

School starts Monday and I am so not ready to get back in the swing of things. I want more summer!!!! The books are ready, the computers are set-up, the schedule is pretty much ready to go. Not me!!! Not the boys!!! Summer goes too fast. I am ready to have Ethan home though. He has been at his dad's for the last couple of weeks and boy do we miss him when he is gone. Tucker has kept pretty busy this summer, but he still has such a hard time with his big brother being gone so long. He gets pretty sad at times and it just breaks my heart cause I know just how he feels. So if school starting means Big Brother is home than I guess we are ready!! See the silver lining!!!!

Bath time!

Bath time!! Ellie was absolutely flithy! It has been raining here and she goes out and gets muddy. I have had many dogs and I have never had one that acts so ridiculous during bathtime. You would think I was killing the dog and it doesn't get any better at blow dry time. The end result is a clean, adorable dog though!!

Boys will be Boys!!

Rusty and some of his buddies have decided to enter a car in the derby races at the Fair this weekend. They are in the process of tearing it apart and Tucker wanted to go lend a hand.

Looks roadworthy, don't ya think???
Surveying their handiwork!

School room and supplies are ready to go!

Ethan's desk
Organized supplies! Oh, and the dog!!!
I couldn't get a pic of all three desks! We haven't tried this set-up before, but I am hoping it will work! I am in the middle to easily help both boys and they can't bug each other!!!!!
Whiteboard and calendar area
Tuck's desk and books
Our school room is ready to go! I repainted, took the nasty carpet out and replaced it with vinyl, cleared out all the books and junk we don't need and rearranged. Both of the boys books are here and the LMS is set-up for them. Tucker has already done a couple of lessons. School officialy starts the 25th. Ethan won't get home till the 26th so we will start a day late with him.

Leavenworth vacation w/ Rusty

Rusty and I took a mini vacation to Leavenworth, Wa this weekend. We stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast called Enchanted River Inn. The couple were very kind and had a lovely home. The breakfasts were wonderful and they served us in our room!!!! How spoiled is that??

The tub was huge and so wonderful. Our view as you can see was spectacular and we could hear the river all night. We had a wonderful weekend just relaxing and enjoying each other. We went and saw the play "Kiss me, Kate!" It was so good. They did an excellent job and it was the perfect place to be at 2 in the afternoon when the heat outside was 104! We had great food, great company, and just a great time focusing on each other.

Look at this breakfast! This was only one course! It was a 3 course meal! Sorbet, cinnamon rolls and then this delicious plate. Yummy!!!!!

The fireplace in our room!

Just some pics in the park! I was taking the pic myself so it isn't the best.

This is a huge bee's nest that we saw when we hiked around one of the state parks. Can you see the bee in the one on the left?

This is the view from the room at the bed and breakfast! Isn't it gorgeous!!!
