Scarywood

Ethan, Tucker, and Godwin went to Silverwood yesterday, which is haunted (Scarywood) during the month of October.  I got a text from Ethan shortly after they arrived "This is insane."  They had a great time.
There were clowns that followed people around the park.  Ethan took this picture with Tucker's phone so not the best quality.  This was actually someone that knew one of the boys' friends.

Ethan

Doing school in the family room where it is warm and cozy.
He was playing with a laser light and wanted to see what it would look like on camera.  Kinda cool.

Almost done

The wall is painted and now I am just waiting on the border.  It was mailed yesterday so that should be done soon.
This is the awning that is being built.  They are supposed to mount it tonight.  They ordered the trim pieces and waited for over a week and they don't match.  I am hoping that once it is up you won't be able to tell.  I am trying not to let if irritate me, but well I am anal that way.

Little Girl on a Plane

My aunt e-mailed me this today and I thought it was so funny I had to share.

"LITTLE GIRL ON A PLANE"

A Congressman was seated next to a little girl on an airplane so he turned to her and said, "Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger."

The  little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the  total stranger, "What would you want to talk about?"

Oh, I don't know," said the congressman. "How about global warming, universal health care, or stimulus packages?" as he smiled smugly.
"OK," she said. "Those could be interesting topics, but let me ask you a question first. A horse, A Cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass.
Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and  a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?"

The legislator, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, "Hmmm, I have no idea."  To which the little girl replies, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss global warming, universal health care, or the economy, when you don't know crap?"

And then she went back to reading her book.

An exciting day for Rathdrum

I was sitting here typing a message today when my SIL calls and tells me Garwood had a bomb threat and the kids were bussed to the high school.  NICE!  I tried calling Tucker's cell phone, which of course was in his backpack.  So I called the high school and was told I could come get him or he could take the bus home after school.  At the same time Wells Fargo was robbed.  hmmm....Tucker thinks it was planned.   So from now on the phone stays on his person so he can call me if he needs to.

Tucker was unphased by the whole thing.  He said it was boring at the high school and lunch sucked.  lol  Oh, he also wondered if school would be cancelled tomorrow.  That's my boy!

Momma's charging for picking up

I am tried of picking up after everyone.  So I decided today that I am charging 25 cents per item I have to pick up.  Tucker is the worst offender.  He leaves socks, clothes, cups, plates, you name it on his floor, the exercise/video room, etc.  Every day I walk around collecting stuff.  So starting tomorrow I will be charging for being the maid.

Brightened my morning

I forgot to check the mail on Saturday so this morning on my way into town I grabbed the mail.  I was so surprised to find a card from Rachel.  It just made my morning.

Baby #2 is growing.  Rusty was sitting on the floor taking pictures so not the best angle.
Tucker has pulled a muscle in his leg and Aunt Laura was fixing him up with icy hot and saran wrap.
Love those little cheeks.

Sean is at hunting camp looking for the big Elk so we got company.  Laura, Hunter, and Crazy Katie came for the afternoon/evening.  We had a nice visit and fun playing with the little man.  He is a busy little guy and still such a happy camper.

A big win

The boys won their game 34-8 yesterday against Timberlake.  Woohoo!!!  Tucker had a couple of really nice tackles and recovered a fumble.  He played a new position again.  They keep moving him around and boy does it make it hard for me to keep track of him.  One game left.  I'm going to miss football.  I sure enjoy watching him play sports.

Animals

Here's a little better picture of Darth.  He is sharing the dogs food.
Bella, my only dog that isn't afraid of the camera.
This is with full zoom.  She is such a chicken and hides when she sees the camera.  She is staring to look old.
Duke trying to escape from the oh so scary camera.
