Removal of back door and building an awning

Wendy-  Here's pictures for you.  Nothing exciting, but here you go.

 We had the back door removed as it was leaking under the door frame.  This is the second time this has happened so we just removed it to get rid of the problem.  It just needs the texture done and then I will paint.  

 I am debating on changing colors or just repainting the greens.  

 The door was right next to the window. 

We are having an awning built over these doors to try to keep the rain/snow away from the house a bit.  It will also be a nice covered area for Duke.  

He didn't want his picture taken, but here he is.  He is really sweet and would like to be an inside kitty.  He just wants to be with you.  Today we had Stacy over to put another coat of sheet rock mud on and the kitten got into the mud bucket.  He had it all over his paws and tracked it everywhere.  I got him and the deck all cleaned up.

Darth

We got a new baby kitty.  Snickers, my sweet bottle fed baby, disappeared a few months ago.  I hate having Whiskers all by himself out there.  He probably doesn't care, but I always feel bad for him.  So I have been waiting for this little boy for a month.  He is part ragdoll and quite cute.  He will be an outside cat, but the boys are spoiling inside a bit today.  Ethan is such a kitty softy.  He doesn't care for the dogs much, but he loves his Snuggles.  

New name

We collectively tried to find a new name for the blog.  We came up with several names and decided this was the cleanest.  lol  Since I love my chicks this seemed appropriate.

Sorry for all the hassle.  I may eventually make it private again as I am finding it too easy googling it.  Of course, I was putting in the blog title, but still.  For now I think this should keep the troll away.

Nice quiet day at home

Tucker doesn't have school today (Teacher work day) and Ethan is ahead so he took the day off.  We had thought about doing something, but they have been happily watching old Dukes of Hazards shows that they recorded and playing Madden football on the Wii.  It is so nice to hear them down there enjoying each others company.  It is nice to have Tucker home too.

They did get up this morning and Ethan drove them into town to get donuts at the new Donut House.  He is liking being able to drive.

Ben and Tucker were building with the blocks last weekend.  This is one of the cool things they built.

First Win

Tucker's team beat the Green team 14-12 tonight! Woohoo!!! They were undefeated. Sadly, one of our really good players, Wyatt, got hit in the knee. It looks like he could be out for the rest of the season. Hopefully not. I love watching Tucker play even if I can't find him half the time. I told him I am buying him a green helmet so I can find him. lol

Ethan's 1st trip alone

Ethan drove to Godwin's by himself yesterday. It is so hard to watch him drive off alone. I know as they grow up we have to let them go and grow, but this has to be one of the scariest things to do. There are so many people on the road and even though he is doing a good job it is scary. He did fine and returned home safe and sound. He drove himself to work today too. Very proud of him, but a bit sad too.
