Rained out

Well we had our first rained out baseball game. The fields were a mess and it of course started raining really hard about the time the games were supposed to start. So home and movies. It was a good movie night.

We had a huge thunder and lightning storm last night too. Poor Duke had to stay outside cause he was so wet already. He hates thunder. I should have dried him off and brought him in. I figured if I did that he would be trying to crawl in bed with us all night. He really is a boob!

Finally

Ethan had a big research paper that he worked on for about a month. He had to chose a topic from "Life in the 1930's". Well he chose Hoovervilles. It proved to be a tough topic to gather enough information for a 3 page paper. He worked really hard on it and learned how to properly site his sources and all the other stuff a research paper requires. He didn't get his 3 pages. He turned it in over 2 weeks ago and we have been on pins and needles waiting for it to be graded. FINALLY!!! He got a B! Boy is that a relief! Good job Ethan and thanks Rusty for helping him with it. I tried really hard to check out on this one. I am NOT good at research papers.

I just thought this one was funny. I was trying to take a picture of Ethan, but he thought I was taking one of Tucker and was trying to get out of the way.

Tucker practicing on his hit-a-way. We bought this yesterday at Big 5. I am hoping it will help him watch the ball. He did get a hit the last two games.

The boys like to have contests at lunchtime over who can make the best food. Today it was presentation of the strawberry shortcake. I think Tucker won this time. In Ethan's defense he didn't know till after he did his that Tucker was competing. LOL

Crazy Weather

This weather is so crazy. Yesterday was beautiful until we got to the ballfield and then it was cold and windy. Today it can't decide if it will rain or shine. We did get in some baseball practice and a walk. I am now enjoying College Softball on t.v. Man can those girls pitch fast.

Games

Tucker had a game Monday and Wednesday. He pitched part of each game. Monday it was SO cold and windy. He didn't pitch great that game, but then neither did anyone else. I don't think their hands were capable of working properly it was so cold. LOL Wednesday Tucker only pitched the end of one inning and one full inning. He struck out 4 players. YEAH! Sorry to Andrew, if you are reading this Terra. He didn't hit the ball, but got walked both times, once a walk on balls, and once hit by the ball. They played their best game so far on Wednesday. It was much more fun for the kids. I am really ready for some warm weather though. Sitting for 2 hrs. is COLD. Game again Saturday at 3:30.

Weekend

We took the boat out for a little bit today. It took a bit to get it started, but once started it ran fine. The trolling motor wouldn't work so Rusty is going to have to work on that. It was cold on the water and a bit rainy. Fun though. They really didn't fish since we couldn't get the trolling motor to work. Next time!

Rusty and I have been taking a walk each night. The boys joined us tonight. Tucker on his bike and Ethan on the rip stick. They brought a rope along so Tucker could pull Ethan. They crack me up. Ethan can really get that rip stick moving. He loves to go down the hill on it. Scares me, he wipes out and there is going to be some damage. He hauls butt!!!
